Hooker Furniture reports that is coordinating the designs of its new fabric and leather wood trim upholstery with the styling of its case good collections for the upcoming October High Point Market. The complementary designs create a whole home solution for dealers and end consumers.

“This Market marks a milestone for us as our first collaborative effort across our divisions to coordinate the designs of our case goods and upholstery groups on the front end of the product development process,” said Jeremy Hoff, president of Hooker Upholstery. “Our case good collections are well known for their luxurious finishes, which are now available on our complementary upholstery items, creating a competitive advantage for us as a whole home source for the living room.”

With the collaborative styling efforts, come some additional upholstery capabilities. While the Hooker Upholstery division’s core product line is most well-known for its leather upholstery, the company will introduce a noteworthy number of fabric upholstery frames this fall that tie into its Modern Romance Collection, a refined and sophisticated group with a soft, serene presence. Highlights of the four silhouettes include a uniquely curved sofa and coordinating round swivel chair, an exposed wood accent chair with a dramatically styled back, and a settee with a gracefully curved back rail that mimics the shape of the case good collection’s headboard.

Leather plays a major role in the upholstery pieces designed to coordinate with the Crafted Collection, a 40-piece whole home group inspired by the authenticity of today’s American living experience and the wave of small businesses with local charm that are becoming increasingly more appealing to consumers. Upholstery pieces feature a mix of rich wood finishes reminiscent of a bourbon barrel burnished over time, raw, unfinished wood and distressed leathers that provide authentic, aged character. Highlights include a high-arm tufted leather sofa with a deconstructed look that is achieved by a natural unfinished exposed wood frame and raw tufting threads that are visible on the outside arms and back. A signature barrel-back style sofa and chair upholstered in a rich, distressed leather add aged character to the group.

Additional upholstery collaborations include pieces designed to complement the Miramar Point Reyes, Miramar Aventura and Miramar Carmel Collections. The majority of these silhouettes are upholstered in fabric, with a few leather pieces to offer additional style options. The wood exposed trim of each upholstery item coordinates with the Miramar collection finishes.
