Fine Furniture Design’s “Runway Collection” Brings High Fashion Style To Home Furnishings

Furniture World News Desk on 9/28/2017

Fine Furniture Design reports that it is bringing high fashion home furnishings inspired by runways from the style capitals of the world to its Runway Collection, which will be unveiled at the upcoming October High Point Market. The 50-piece collection includes bedroom, dining room, occasional furniture, as well as coordinating upholstery.

The collection draws its inspiration from this season’s hottest fashion trends which include confident looks with exaggerated lines, metallic effects – including gold and brass – and bold, graphic prints. These trends are translated into the group through fashion-inspired design elements including jewelry-like brass hardware reminiscent of gold bangles and dramatic hoop earrings. Upholstery pieces are covered in bold, geometric fabrics and unexpected pops of color that play off of the iconic red-soled shoes that are synonymous with fashion and luxury.

Crafted of figured eucalyptus and birch solids, pieces feature a lustrous finish with high clarity and sheen. A complementary gold-tone accent finish provides a pop of color, while brass hardware and acrylic accents add the finishing touches, much like the perfect accessory or pair of shoes would complete a stylish outfit.

“The worlds of fashion and interior design have always been connected,” said Eric Graham, president of Fine Furniture Design. “As we look to the fashion industry to influence trends for the upcoming seasons, Runway offers consumers a stylish point of view beyond their wardrobes. As you explore each piece you’ll notice clever details that give the collection a couture, yet sophisticated personality.”

Two beds anchor the 10-piece bedroom category. The Couture upholstered bed features a channeled, quilted headboard with an acrylic frame that is accented on each corner with brass details. A true statement piece, the Haute woven panel bed – with its impressive silhouette and basket weave design details on the headboard – can be paired with floating left- and right-nightstands with LED under-lighting to create a wall bed look. Among the other bedroom pieces include a cantilever nightstand, two drawer chests, a nine-drawer dresser, a vanity, two benches and two decorative mirrors.

Highlights of the seven dining room pieces include the Filigree rectangular dining table, featuring an inset glass panel framed by asymmetrical eucalyptus veneer. The top rests on a curved base accented with a gold finish that is visible through the glass top. It is available in 82- and 102-inch sizes. Available with a 72-inch glass top or a 60-inch wood top, the Accolade round dining table has a cylinder-shaped base with uniquely layered eucalyptus veneer and a brass metal band at the bottom. Three dining chair options include the Urbane side and arm chair with a klismos-style design, the Allure side and arm chair with a brass metal frame and upholstered seat and the Statement fully upholstered arm chair that stands tall on modern shaped legs. Storage pieces include the Panche credenza, which is characterized by its four white lacquer painted doors with a bold, gold-finish geometric pattern.

Nineteen occasional and accent pieces include several table groups and a variety of entertainment consoles, chests and unique storage units. Highlights include the Caprice cocktail table with a scalloped-shaped top and curved brass metal base and the unique Silhouette hall tree, the first of its kind in Fine Furniture Design’s product line. With plenty of storage, the piece includes two drawers and seven versatile storage hooks that can flip up or down as needed. The open-back brass metal frame features an edgy asymmetrical pattern which gives it an open and airy look.

Twelve coordinating Protégé Upholstery pieces include three sofa groups with coordinating chairs, five accent chairs and an upholstered bench offering. Each is customizable in more than 200 fabrics and leathers and 32 water-based finishes. Highlights include the Riveria sofa group with basket weave design details on the outside arm panels and the Venezia armless chair that features a slight nod to ‘50s retro styling. It has a low-profile seat and biscuit-tufting details on the seat and back cushions.

To celebrate the new line, Fine Furniture Design will host its semi-annual Market opening celebration, which will be held at the Fine Furniture Design showroom located at 305 S. Hamilton St. on October 13 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
