Capel Incorporated will unveil two never-before-seen rug collections at the Atlanta market while showcasing its extended portfolio of high-quality, high-fashion floorcoverings. Experience Capel's distinguished brand of style and comfort during the Atlanta International Area Rug Market July 11-14. The Capel showroom is in Merchandise Mart space 6F2. Creative color trends appearing in July include soothing earth shades, neutrals splashed with color, and deep jewel tones. Capel brings both contemporary and traditional styles to the forefront with the modern hand tufted collections and classic Capel braids. Chincoteague and Elk Lodge are two new collections that will be on display at market for the first time. Chincoteague (1) is a colorful, luxurious hand loomed flatwoven of rayon and chenille. Its vibrant color combinations are sure to compliment a wide range of interior design themes. A 5' x 8' retails for $248. Elk Lodge (2), hand loomed and flatwoven in India, is made of a combination of New Zealand wool, jute and cotton. Available in colors such as Yellowstone, Slate, and Chili, Elk Lodge celebrates the rich colors of the American West. A 5' x 8' Elk Lodge rug retails for $313. Basketweave (3) from licensee Colonial Williamsburg ® is a rectangular braided rug woven to mimic a traditional basketweave design. Like all Capel braids, Basketweave is made in the USA, and it's constructed with a cotton-polyester blend making it soft to the touch. Available in five warm colorways, a size 5' x 8' retails for $488. Tempo (4) and Andes (5), both hand tufted collections, offer patterns reminiscent of modern art paintings in color palettes of terra cottas, scarlets, blacks, golds and limes. Geometric and abstract patterns dominate these collections. Made from 100% semi-worsted wool, the silky feel of these rugs is unmatched. A 5' x 8' Tempo retails for $725. An Andes 5' x 8' retails for $725. Finesse and Weatherwise, machine woven rugs in 100% olefin, are part of Capel's indoor/outdoor collections. Inspired by the colors of Tuscany, Finesse (6) designs are embellished with stylish scrolls, floral patterns, sophisticated blocks and geometric patterns. Weatherwise (7) has a classic natural fiber look in colors of sisal and cocoa. Both Finesse and Weatherwise are perfectly suitable for porch, patio or poolside. A quick squirt with the garden hose cleans away dirt easily. A Finesse 5'3" x 7'6" retails for $138. A Weatherwise 5'3" x 7'6" retails for $153. St. Tropez (8) is a new hand tufted collection inspired by the rich history of the French region bearing the same name. These rugs are made with an intricate needle for exquisite detail with silky, semiworsted New Zealand wool. It is available in five patterns with chocolate, mocha, bronze, scarlet, gold and green tones. These traditional rugs bring visions of the Mediterranean seaside indoors. A 5'6"' x 8'6" retails for $1248. Josephine (9) is a French aubusson design in five European colorways including black, garnet, aqua grey, light blue and bronze. Lustrous and dramatic, Josephine's design features a detailed oval set inside a rectangle. Each rug in this collection is hand tufted of 100% New Zealand wool for a soft, luxurious feel.
