HFIA Association Expands Leadership Roles

Home Furnishings International Association (HFIA) has announced Al Stillman, CEO of HFIA since 1981 and CEO of Association owned Southwest Home Life Insurance Company (SWHLIC) since 1985, will now devote full time to SWHLIC. Effective August 13, replacing Stillman as Executive Director of HFIA will be Mary Frye, former staff executive with the Association. Having worked in every major department with HFIA, Frye anticipates a smooth transition to the top post. Frye looks forward to increasing the importance of HFIA membership to those in the home furnishings industry, actively participating in enhancing the Dallas Furniture Market and identifying leaders to take the industry into the 21st century. '"I am eager to reacquaint myself with members and I'm hoping to hear from many of them when I get back in the office. My job will be made easier because of the wealth of knowledge and experience our members can share with me," concluded Frye. Al Stillman reflects that Mary Frye's experience and leadership will allow him the opportunity to concentrate on the Association's largest investment, Southwest Home Life Insurance Company. Stillman will continue to be available to HFIA in a consulting capacity.
