Ekornes Announces Record-Breaking July

In a time when manufacturers, distributors and retailers are still keeping a watchful eye on the economy, Ekornes Inc. has experienced a record-breaking July for both sales and distribution. Reflecting an almost 25% increase over July 2002, Ekornes Inc. received sales orders for $6,720,000 of Ekornes products for July 2003. Kevin McGuinness, President of Ekornes Inc., attributes this increase to the companyís relationship with their dealers. ìOver the last few years, weíve focused our efforts on providing total market support for Ekornes dealers. By providing a money-back guarantee to Zone dealers (those who commit at least 600 square feet of space to Ekornes products), creating turn-key promotions, providing free flyers, advertisements, promotional materials and camera-ready ads, we have fostered relationships that have turned our dealers into partners. This evolution process has been paying off over the last few years, but never as much as weíve seen this July."
Another significant number that has Ekornes Inc. celebrating is the amount of product that was distributed from the Somerset, New Jersey warehouse. In July 2003, $5,151,000 in product was shipped, representing an 18% over July 2002. Says McGuinness, "We are already realizing the benefits from increasing our Somerset distribution space. Our move in early July to a space that doubled our operation here allows us to house more product and move it more quickly to our dealers."
