WHFA Member Appreciation Party To Recreate Sf’s Barbary Coast

The 2004 Western Home Furnishings Association’s Winter Market Member Appreciation Cocktail Party will recreate an atmosphere of San Francisco’s wild gold rush days. The party, open to all buyers and market attendees, will be held the second night of market at the SF Market’s Concourse Mezzanine, Thursday, January 29 from 5:30-7:30pm. Complimentary hors d’oeuvres and specialty cocktails served on the plank top barrel bar and unique SF style entertainment will highlight the party that set attendance records last market. “This is a wonderful opportunity for retailers to have a great party, in an environment of new and up-and-coming home furnishings manufacturers” tells Sharron Bradley, WHFA Executive Director. Concourse Director and party planner Margaret Casey explains, “Last year’s party was great. This year the party will take you back to the gold rush days of SF’s Barbary Coast, where lush Victorian opulence meets Chinatown, meets the Wild Wild West. You will also have a chance to take a photo with the worlds tallest cowgirl, Sandra D. Buckshot.” The Thursday evening event will also be the venue for the presentation of the SF Mart’s Gold Pass Award for outstanding retailers and the kick off of WHFA’s 60th anniversary year-long celebration. There will be continuous complimentary shuttle service to the Concourse throughout the entire Market, which connects with hotel shuttles on Stevenson Street. The party is presented by WHFA, InFurniture Magazine, and the SF Furniture Market at the Concourse.
