With an annual sales volume of approximately $135 million, 36 stores and 2 warehouse locations, Muebleria Berrios signed with STORIS and will run 590 concurrent users. They will be running the STORIS system on the newly released IBM RISC 6000 Series 660 Model 7026-6H1, with 4 (600 MHz) Processors, featuring the all new 2GB state of the art Chipkill memory. This will protect the server from any single memory chip failure and from multi-bit errors from any portion of a single memory chip. "After evaluating all of the different software systems, we found STORIS offered everything we were looking for: a Centralized System, on-line access to all information, perpetual inventory in all and every location, and a vast variety of reports and information that facilitates a better analysis of our operations," stated Janice Berrios, Director of Finance for Muebleria Berrios. "Furthermore, the integration of all the modules and the automation of the processes will allow us to improve our overallday to day operations." In addition to the base system, Muebleria Berrios also purchased Radio FrequencyWarehouse Bar Code, Customer Service, EDI (17 Manufacturers), Installment A/R, Equifax On-Line Credit Application, EIS, Label Matrix software for printing custom floor tags, and the STORIS E-mail Messenger Software. Muebleria Berrios will also implement FGII Financial Report Writer, a PC based Visual Basic application, which allows retailers to view organized financial data covering an unlimited period to produce financial reports in virtually any format. FGII also supports customized financial comparative reporting including monthly, quarterly and yearly analysis.
