STORIS Signs Sit 'n Sleep and Siesta Sleep Centre

STORIS Management Systems is pleased to welcome two California based bedding retailers to their clientele base: Sit 'n Sleep of Montebello, CA and Siesta Sleep Centre of Santa Barbara, CA. The two companies are on a fast track and have begun the implementation process. "Over the past several years STORIS' presence in the bedding industry has grown significantly with the addition of numerous mattress and bedding industry leaders," said Ira Bakst, Senior Vice President of STORIS. "These two recent sales are further evidence of STORIS' popularity on the west coast. A few of our other west coast customers include McMahans Furniture, Sleep Country USA, Banner Bedding, E.S. Burgan's and Son, and Sleep Country Canada in Vancouver." Sit 'n Sleep, a multi-million dollar company, will be running a 43-user system throughout their 6-store chain. Larry Miller, President of Sit 'n Sleep commented, "One of the pivotal elements in selecting the STORIS system was that they understood our requirements and the demands of a mattress and bedding company. We were also impressed with their knowledge of the industry and the inroads that they have made with bedding manufacturers with EDI and bar code." Sit 'n Sleep will be running the STORIS system on an Acer Altos 1100 Pentium III Processor, with 1,024MB of Memory. In addition to the STORIS base system, they purchased Batch Bar Code, EIS Merchandising, EIS-II, EIS-G/L Audit, FGII Financial Report Writer and PC Label Matrix Interface. Siesta Sleep Centre is a family owned and run business. Ed Schatz, Vice President, stated "We chose STORIS because of the systems total integration and functionality. The system did not have to be significantly modified to meet our business' needs." Siesta Sleep Centre has 5 store locations and will be operating an 18-user system. They will be running the STORIS system on an Acer Altos 500, 550 MHz Pentium III Processor, with 128 MB of Memory. Along with the base system, Siesta purchased EIS-II, EIS-G/L Audit, Batch Bar Code and Customer Service.
