Becker Furniture World Chooses STORIS

STORIS Management Systems is pleased to announce the signing of Becker Furniture World, a retailer based in Becker, Minnesota.
Becker operates 2 store locations, 1 warehouse, and plans to open a new distribution center by June 1, 2000 utilizing STORIS' advanced wireless Radio Frequency software. Their main store is currently 150,000 Sq. Ft. and they plan on expanding it to 200,000 Sq. Ft. in the near future. Becker's other store is a Becker Furniture Express in St. Cloud, Minnesota.
"In their analysis of software vendors, Becker wanted a system that was highly integrated and more automated," said Ira Bakst, Senior Vice President of STORIS. They also wanted a total program that included many of our tangential products such as SLS, which utilizes Palm Pilots to automate the sales order process, Customer Service and RF Bar Coding, which is currently live in over 50 of our customers' locations. We look forward to a highly beneficial partnership with the entire Becker organization."
Becker will be running a 75-user system. In addition to the base system, they purchased Hand Held Bar Coding, Point-of-Sale Scanning, EIS and FGII Reporting Tools, Credit Card Processing and Label Matrix for Design of customized labels.
STORIS Management Systems, an IBM Business partner, provides computer turnkey solutions for furniture, appliance and electronic retailers. Over 300 retailers, including 20 of the TOP 100, have installed STORIS systems in the past decade.
