Mike Bookbinder
Former Sleepy’s Executive Mike Bookbinder has joined Mattress Giant as the executive vice president of merchandising and marketing.
Mike brings over 20 years of industry experience both on the retail and manufacturing sides of the business. Mike spent 11 years at Hicksville, New York-based Sleepy’s, the country’s largest sleep shop chain, during which time he served various senior roles, including executive vice president of sales and marketing. Mike began his mattress retail career at City Mattress in Buffalo, N.Y. where he attained the position of president.
Bookbinder was most recently at mattress manufacturer, King Koil, in Willowbrook, Ill., where he served in a new business development role as senior vice president of sales.

Bookbinder assumes the responsibilities previously held by Dominick Azevedo, who left Mattress Giant in May to become the president and CEO of Advanced Sleep Concepts.
