Stanley Furniture Company, Inc. announced two promotions in the marketing and sales department. Ray Harding, Jr. has been promoted to vice president of sales for Young America®, and Brad Miller has been promoted to vice president of international sales and special markets for Stanley Furniture.

Harding rejoined Stanley Furniture as sales manager for Young America® in April of last year after spending 13 years as a sales representative in the 1980s and early 1990s. Harding has more than 20 years of experience in the furniture industry, including his role as an owner/operator of three Badcock & More franchises in western North Carolina, and as a sales representative for Somma Mattress and Pulaski Furniture. Harding holds a bachelor’s degree with a major in economics and a minor in business from Rollins College in Winter Park, Fla.

“Since joining Stanley Furniture, Ray has been an innovative member of our team and an integral part of implementing new processes into our Young America® sales efforts,” says Glenn Prillaman, senior vice president of marketing and sales for Stanley Furniture. “We are confident that under Ray’s leadership, Young America® will continue to grow and maintain its leadership position within the industry.”

Brad Miller has served as director of international sales for Stanley Furniture for the past two years. Miller brings more than 10 years of management experience which includes working as an international account executive for Cone Mills Corp. He previously worked for Lackawanna Leather as director of purchasing. He earned a bachelor’s of science degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, double majoring in business administration and Spanish, and he has a master’s in business administration from Wake Forest University.

“Brad has successfully heightened our visibility in the foreign marketplace and extended our distribution network into other countries,” says Prillaman. “His worldwide sales experience has made him a tremendous asset to our international sales team in the global marketplace.”
