Marvin Kerby, Kerby’s Furniture, Mesa, AZ, passed the gavel to incoming WHFA President, David Harkness, Harkness Furniture, Tacoma, WA, during the Annual WHFA Membership Meeting, held at the January Las Vegas Market. Along with Harkness, Taylor Ganz, McMahan’s, Los Angeles, CA, George Nader, Nader’s La Popular, Gardena, CA, Keith Koplan, Koplan’s Furniture, Vancouver, WA and Ray Nunex, Furniture Savings Center, North Highlands, CA were appointed officer positions. WHFA also welcomed five new Directors to the 2006 Board roster. The new Board members, unanimously approved by the membership to serve in the year ahead are: Gary Absalonson, Walker’s Furniture Inc., Spokane, WA; Julian Jeppe, Reed’s Furniture, Agoura Hills, CA; Angel Lopez, Dearden’s, Los Angeles, CA; Andrew Zuppa, American Furniture Warehouse, Englewood, CO. The WHFA Board of Directors is composed of volunteer, independent home furnishings retailers. These industry leaders serve the entire WHFA membership and the industry as a whole with generous contributions of time and experience. The great service these individuals share with the industry helps to insure the growing prosperity of members and non-members throughout the 12 Western States.
