Natura World Announces "Pillows for Troops" Campaign

On Wednesday morning at 11 am, Natura World announced that it will honor the Canadian military with a special ceremony that will begin with a grade 4/5 class from a local school singing Oh Canada. A trumpet player from the Salvation Army will play the last post and a number of soldiers from Trenton will be in attendance.

Natura’s “Pillows for Troops” campaign lets Canadians send a pillow to a soldier in Afghanistan from now through 2011 – Natura is now an official supplier to the Canadian Military. The campaign honours the 88th soldier to be killed while serving in Afghanistan and is the only soldier to have been interred on Remembrance Day.

On his first tour of duty, Cpl. James Hayward Arnal strapped a Natura pillow to his leg. On his next 2 tours, he brought Natura pillows to share. His story has inspired a group of individuals and companies, including Natura, to band together to bring comfort to soldiers serving overseas.

Natura’s Remembrance Day ceremony is preemptive to the official launch on November 20th at 1:18 pm at JS Furniture in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The mayor of Winnipeg, His Worship, Mayor Sam Katz, and the premier of Manitoba, The Honorable Greg Selinger will be in attendance.
