Marc Kushner, president of Service Lamp, and Robert Horvath of Philips Lighting Company made a special trip to High Point to discuss LEDs with furniture chains. 

“Solid state lighting is a very promising technology for the retail industry,” says Kushner, “We want to help our customers understand the benefits and limitations so they are prepared to use it when it makes sense.” Long life, low energy consumption, and good color rendering are characteristics of solid state lighting. The light generating chips contain no mercury. 

Solid state lighting is discussed in the current issue of Furniture World magazine. “Path To Sustainable Retail Lighting”  the requirements of sustainable lighting and the role LEDs can play. The article’s author, Monte Lee, will be at Service Lamp’s display during market.
