Samuelson Furniture President Larry Chalfin announced a key promotion and expansion of its sales team.  Steven Hunter, who previously handled contract sales and marketing for the company, has been promoted to Vice President of Contract Sales.  This appointment comes on the heels of three new representative appointments in both the residential and contract markets.

“Steven has been a key part of our success and we are thrilled to promote him to this important position,” stated Larry Chalfin, President of Samuelson Furniture.  “Steven’s continued leadership will be critical as we continue to strengthen our contract sales and customer operations to better serve our customers.”  Hunter held the title of Director of Sales and Marketing for the company for the past four years and was previously with Lane Venture as the Director of Market Development, International Sales and Contract Development.

The company also expanded its sales efforts with the appointment of three new representatives.  Samuelson appointed Peter Kelley of Kelley Group Two to handle RESIDENTIAL SALES in the New England region (Massachusetts, Maine, Connecticut., Rhode Island, New York and Vermont).  Based in metropolitan Boston, Kelley specializes in representing luxury manufacturers in the interior furnishings industry.  He has fostered relationships with the interior design community, premium boutique retailers, architects and hospitality specifiers.  Kelley holds an MBA and brings years of industry knowledge in the home fashion market.

Samuelson also engaged Kathy Thomas as the new Samuelson CONTRACT SALES representative for Washington, DC, Maryland and Virginia.  And the company announced that Tom Perkins, based in Brentwood, Tennessee, will handle RESIDENTIAL SALES for Kentucky, Tennessee and Alabama. These professionals bring years of experience to the Samuelson team and will help develop stronger customer relationships and increased sales for Samuelson Furniture.

“The promotion of Hunter and the addition of these new representatives will put our company in an even stronger position to service our clients in the future,” stated Chalfin.  “We are extremely proud of our long rich heritage and will continue to manufacture and service with the values and craftsmanship that have become hallmarks of the Samuelson brand.”

Samuelson Furniture is renowned for beautifully crafted furnishings built to last a lifetime.  The company can trace its roots to a rather humble beginning in Paterson, NJ and a father-and-son team with inspired dreams.  Now in its fourth generation, Samuelson offers quality furniture to the professional interior design community.  No matter the style, each and every piece has an inspired design and heirloom quality - a trademark of the Samuelson Furniture brand.  The Samuelson team assures the highest quality service and a commitment to provide superior quality furniture sure to be celebrated by the users.
