MacKenzie-Childs Introduces Its Spring 2019 Collection at Atlanta Gift Market

Furniture World News Desk on 7/10/2018

MacKenzie-Childs, the handcrafted home décor brand, recently announced its introduction of its 2019 Spring collection to buyers and attendees of Atlanta Gift Market this week. As the brand continues to create innovative, whimsical, festive, and decorative products for collectors and new customers alike, it is introducing a spring collection that features an elaborate new candle collection called MacKenzie-Childs Glow, rich and colorful furniture pieces, a new royal blue and white check dinnerware collection, seasonal offerings, and a partnership with SCOUT Bags.

The Royal Check is an all-new enamelware collection which features hand-painted royal blue and white checks similar to Courtly Check and Parchment Check, that are customer favorites. Royal Check includes everything from dinner plates, to canisters, serving platters, tea kettles, salt and pepper shakers, placemats, aprons, linens, etc.

Glow redefines the beauty of light through an extensive collection of dinner, pillar, scented, and iconic shaped candles. “We’ve partnered with Alina Bednarz, formerly of Et Al Designs, to create a new point of view on MacKenzie-Childs that celebrates a broader story of our direction in home,” noted John Ling, CEO of MacKenzie-Childs. “Alina is an extraordinary woman and tastemaker and we’re so happy to have her as part of our design team now to support our direction forward with candles.”

Additionally, MacKenzie-Childs will introduce a co-branded collection with SCOUT Bags which will feature patterned, portable coolers, and casserole carriers. The line is available in two patterns, Dotty, all black and white, and Ikat, with splashes of pinks, reds, blacks, and whites. Signature handles feature MacKenzie-Childs’ traditional Courtly Check pattern.

“This season is especially exciting for us,” noted Rebecca Proctor, Chief Brand Officer for MacKenzie-Childs. “Our designs came together beautifully for Spring 2019 with a nod to British style campaign living with a bohemian spin, and a wink to the ‘60s with a collection of furniture, elaborate pillows, and barware. MacKenzie-Childs Glow is a natural direction for us as well. We’ve been very busy to say the least! Hopefully, we’ve made the MacKenzie-Childs playground even more fun for our customers with all our new collections."

Below is an overview of some of the more notable spring collections for 2019:

  • Boheme - a boho-chic luxurious furniture and décor collection in shades of yellow, deep red, green, and blue, with black and white accents. The collection includes an over-the-top day bed, loveseat, chair, ottoman, side table, pillows, rugs, chandelier, hammock, and lamp.
  • Dotography – inspired by the rich tones of black and white photography, this collection is warmly modern. It masquerades as monochromatic, while mysteriously offering a palette of shadowy undertones and luxe texture. The furniture and decor line feature a mixture of black and white leopard print, and grey and white marbling. The collection includes a sofa, large coffee table, chair, accent pillows, rugs, bar cart and barware set,
  • Indigo Villa – This outdoor furniture collection is inspired by the beautiful contrast of blues and whites from various seaside cultures around the world – from a tiny island villa outside of Stockholm to a palatial beach home on Mykonos. The collection will feature outdoor sofas, chair and ottoman, and lounger with blue and white check and blue floral accents. All fabrics are made by Sunbrella, exclusively for MacKenzie-Childs.
  • Royal Check – The new enamelware collection with hand-painted blue and white checks will include everything from dinnerware to canisters, as well serving platters, tea kettles, salt and pepper shakers, placemats, aprons, linens, etc.
  • Spring & Easter Décor – The seasonal business has been a big one for the brand. Adding to the Easter collection, there are additional décor, place setting, linens, and paper product options to further celebrate the spring holiday.

MacKenzie-Childs will be located at AmericasMart Building 2, Suite 913 during The Atlanta International Gift and Home Furnishings Market July 10-16, 2017. MacKenzie-Childs Glow will debut in the former Et Al space, booth 515 in the High Design area of the July AmericasMart show in Atlanta.
