Furniture Liquidators Brand Retiring

After 54 years of service in Kentucky and Indiana, the Furniture Liquidators announced that the brand will be retiring. They are the leading retailer of home furnishings and bedding in the greater Louisville, KY. area. The company, along with Mattress and More, was acquired by FFO Home in February of 2018, with plans to rebrand all 13 Furniture Liquidator stores to FFO Homes by November.

Since 1965, Furniture Liquidators has provided customers with outstanding furniture deals, exceptional service and low prices. Mr. John L. Otter will be retiring as President and CEO, after years of commitment to offering affordable prices on furniture and mattresses. Furniture Liquidators will start a series of retirement and total liquidation events as a thank you to the loyal customers in the Kentuckiana market and to make room for the new inventory coming from FFO Home. Larry Zigerelli, President/CEO of FFO Home said, “We are really looking forward to rebranding all 13 Furniture Liquidator locations to FFO Home. I want to thank Mr. Otter for his service to this great company. We are excited to begin the next chapter in its history-Through this transition, you will continue to see many of the same friendly faces you’ve known for years.” Since Mr. Zigerelli began leading FFO Home in 2012 they have opened 24 stores and moved its corporate office, distribution center and warehouses from Muldrow, OK to Fort Smith, AR where the company has been able to run more efficiently under one roof. Larry went on to say, “We pride ourselves in getting involved with the local communities where we have stores. We partner with Chambers, local colleges and participate with local events and charities. Our biggest sponsorship is with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, where we partner with them companywide on various campaigns including the St. Jude Dream Homes in Tulsa, OK, Springfield, MO, Wichita, KS and Waco, TX.


More about FFO: FFO Home opened its first store on Rogers Avenue in Fort Smith in 1984 (known then as Furniture Factory Outlet), and has grown to 51 stores across the seven-state area of Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Kansas, Texas, Mississippi and Tennessee. After the rebrand FFO Home will have 64 stores total under the brand and 15 Mattress and More locations. In the near future, the company has plans to expand the Mattress and More brand as well.
