Independent mattress manufacturer Blue Bell Mattress Company reports that it is bolstering its sales bench by adding Paul Jagielski and Christine Beach as account managers.

The company has been in growth mode since acquiring a 140,000-square-foot factory in Roseville, Michigan. Jagielski and Beach will oversee the company’s sales expansion in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Ohio. Both account managers will manage sales and retail associate training for Blue Bell in those four states.

Prior to joining Blue Bell, Jagielski worked with Serta Simmons as a retail sales specialist where he trained and coached sales associates and retail managers on the company’s product line. His background includes a number of positions within the food services arena with brands like Aramark and Sodexo.

Beach worked with Comfortaire, a Select Comfort company, as a business development specialist. During her time with the company, she worked with retailers coaching and training sales associates, owners and managers. In addition to her time in the bedding industry, Beach worked with brands like Weight Watchers International, and Century Support Services.

“With the addition of these proven account managers, we continue to build a team of bedding professionals that are experts in training, merchandising and developing new business,” said Mark Kolovson, president of Blue Bell. “Retailers are showing a greater interest in independent brands like ours as they look for alternatives that will make them more competitive and profitable. We are likewise seeing more interest on the part of industry sales leaders to come work for strong independents like us where they have the resources and opportunity to better service dealers.”

Beach and Jagielski report to Dan Pacella, Blue Bell’s corporate training manager.
