Matthias Pollmann To Be The New Division Head for Koelnmesse’s Field of Furnishing In Cologne

Koelnmesse recently announced that starting December 1st, 2017, Matthias Pollmann will be taking on the role of division head for the fields of furniture, furnishing and design in the Cologne trade fair portfolio for Koelnmesse. “We are banking on his skills as an experienced director in trade fair management, who has distinguished himself through his successful work in a variety of projects and is already highly regarded by our customers as an expert strategist”, says Kölnmesse CEO Gerald Böse.

He will be succeeding Arne Petersen, who managed the division from summer 2014 and is now leaving the company at his own request for personal reasons. With this move, Koelnmesse is filling a leadership position from within its own ranks.

Pollmann has known Koelnmesse since he was a Business Studies student, when he did an internship there, and joined the company as a trainee in 2006. After working as a Sales Manager for several years, at the beginning of 2012 he took on the role of Project Manager for interzum, a trade fair for furniture production and interior design, . The events in the field of furniture, furnishings and design include imm cologne, LivingKitchen®, ORGATEC, EXPONATEC COLOGNE, interzum, ZOW, FSB and aquanale.
