Marge Carson recently announced that Michael Delgaudio, a veteran high-end furniture industry visual merchandising executive, has joined luxury brand Marge Carson in the new position of Creative Director.

In his role, he will be responsible for fabric selection, showroom layout and design, photography direction and visual merchandising. Reporting to Chief Executive Officer Jim LaBarge, he will ‘be a vital part of our design team, along with Director of Wood Products Tom Tilley, myself and our outside product designers,” LaBarge said.

Most recently, Delgaudio was at Sherrill Furniture Companies as Creative Director for Hickory White. Previously, he served as Vice President & Creative Director for Henredon and as Creative Director at Century. He also has extensive experience in designer showroom and retail merchandising, previously serving as Vice President & Creative Director for the 12-unit Beacon Hill Showroom network, and in design management for The Boyles Furniture Company.

“Michael has a great reputation with our retailers for his visual merchandising and fabric-to-frame combinations in upholstery,” LaBarge said. “He brings to Marge Carson extensive expertise, including visual display experience at retail and designer showrooms, and a creative energy that will be an asset in our photography and other advertising. His talent in fabrics and upholstery will be added to Tom Tilley’s expertise in case goods for a powerful combination at Marge Carson.”

Delgaudio will be filling many of the duties of Christine Rendino, who resigned from the position of Director of Design after 5 years. Rendino will continue as a Marge Carson sales representative for the Houston-Dallas area.

“I’m very excited at the opportunity to work with a brand of the stature of Marge Carson,” said Delgaudio. “The brand has such a unique look, ranging from very elegant to the classic California casual style that seems so timely now.”

Added LaBarge, “We believe Michael will bring an exceptional balanced approach to our varied lifestyle and style presentations.”
