Furniture World News Desk on 9/19/2017

Ameriwood Home, a division of Dorel Industries Inc., (TSX: DII.B; DII.A) recently announced a new commercial office series fit for all generations and work environments. The AX series focuses on creating a proper work setting to address all immediate needs for a productive, creative and comfortable atmosphere in a home or business setting. Ameriwood Home has created an opportunity to appeal to startup businesses and small offices with value, style and function.

According to the Business and Institutional Furniture Manufacturer’s Association (BIFMA), commercial office furniture is projected to jump from $10.3 billion in 2016 to $10.8 billion in 2017.

“The 2017 Neocon Show proved our AX series is headed in the right direction offering combinations that can fit any size office,” stated Bill Noble, VP of Sales and Marketing. “Stepping away from traditional cubicles, AX1 allows offices to provide work spaces for open floor plans, executive offices and even standing conversational tables.”

The AX series features large desks that can be configured into several different layouts, filing cabinets, bookcases and separate conference tables for quick conversations or meetings with coworkers. The new collections will feature melamine and metal materials, locks on cabinets and files while focusing on modern and mid-century styles. All pieces meet ANSI-BIFMA industry commercial standards and have already been shown in small doses at Neocon, Epic and High Point Spring 2017. The AX1, AX2, AX3 and AX4 collections will be featured at Fall High Point Market with AX1 available for purchase late October and the others soon to follow.
