Norwalk Furniture To Debut Sustainable Natural Fiber Collection at High Point Market

Furniture World News Desk on 4/19/2017

Norwalk Furniture will debut its Norwalk Naturals fabric line at the upcoming Spring High Point Market. The collection features natural fibers like cotton, linen and rayon in an array of muted neutral base cloths and soft patterned accents.

The rise in popularity of performance fabrics, while highly functional, are not often organic enough for the eco-conscious consumer. The Norwalk Naturals fabric line is inspired by both furniture dealers and the design community’s requests for high-end natural fabrics that complement and balance the reclaimed wood and repurposed furniture that is still prevalent in home décor.

“While the many various brands and classifications of performance fabrics have surely been in the forefront of home furnishing for the last several years,” said, Dixon Bartlett, Chief Creative Officer for Norwalk Furniture, “designers and consumers continue to demonstrate a strong ongoing preference for natural fibers and fabrics with minimal chemical treatments and environmentally sensitive constructions.”

During Market, Norwalk Naturals will be prominently shown in the company’s showroom at the International Home Furnishings Center, Main Building, Suite 108. A 14-foot-long recycled wood display will highlight how these soft-to-the-hand fabrics compliment the natural elements that reclaimed wood brings to home décor.

Norwalk is a member of the Sustainable Furnishings Council. All products are manufactured in the U.S. with components from American suppliers, particularly local artisans, to support and sustain jobs for American citizens. Produced without harmful chemicals, all products meet criteria for physical performance, content and emissions. The company is also committed to using local, sustainably harvested wood products and recycled steel for its metal components and are now featuring natural fibers in the Norwalk Naturals fabric line.
