Bob Mackie Previews Area Rug Line With KAS Rugs

KAS Rugs reported that Avalon Flooring recently hosted “A Night of Inspiration” for its designer customers at its Cherry Hill Showroom. At the event, over 50 local interior designers met with and discussed design with fashion & celebrity costume designer Bob Mackie.
Avalon set the showroom up to include all of Mackie’s rugs on display paired with drawings of his most famous costume designs for numerous celebrities such as Cher, Tina Turner, Carol Burnett and Marilyn Monroe. Included in the displays with the Mackie Rugs, were chairs provided by the IFDA Philadelphia Chapter from their Take A Seat exhibition. Take A Seat is a national charity fundraising even that benefits local chapter charities, and for 2017 all proceeds will benefit Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County.
Maryanne Adams, President & CEO of Avalon Flooring said “For over 50 years, we have been committed to providing the industry with the most inspiring products for any room in the home and when the KAS team so graciously offered to help us pull off this event, we knew we had to do it! It was a tremendous honor to have Bob here with our customers and to celebrate the art that is home design.”
During his speech, Mackie said, “You will see here today that we worked together [with KAS] and came up with some show-stopping designs for the floor to reveal home trends that I’ve seen in the making for years. You can be inspired by everything we’ve created together, decorating fun with these exquisite rugs and especially all of the talent here tonight!”
