Meyda Tiffany Taps Creative Talents of David Landis Design to Develop New Lines for 2006

Plans to help manufacturer of Tiffany lamps to "go outside the box" to put a new spin on Tiffanys and stained glass.
Meyda Tiffany President Robert Cohen has announced that the firm has tapped the creative talents of David Landis Design to develop new lines for 2006 and beyond. Meyda Tiffany is the nation's leading manufacturer and designer of Tiffany lamps and decorative lighting.
According to Mr. Cohen, "David is one of the lighting industry's foremost designers and we are delighted to tap his talents and expertise. He will help us go outside the box to put on a new spin on Tiffanys and stained glass."
Mr. Landis, a prolific designer, has been creating innovative lamps and lighting products during the past 15 years. His lighting career began when he received the Roscoe Award for his "Landis Lamp" in the early 1990s. Over the years, he was worked with major lighting manufacturers to create a broad range of products using a variety of styles and mediums. Prior to that, he was an interior designer for a decade.
In his latest stint with Meyda Tiffany, Mr. Landis explains, "I want to take Tiffany lamps to a broader market, by incorporating contemporary designs with century old copperfoil construction techniques and the beauty of stained glass for today's homes."
Mr. Landis is busy creating many new lines slated for introduction at the Winter International Lighting Market in January 2006.
