Capel Incorporated Enters Fall With Dramatic New Rug Additions

CAPEL EXPANDS IN HIGH POINT: Capel will showcase its expanding collection of area rugs in a larger showroom space this October. This is the second time Capel has expanded showroom space in six months. The company increased its permanent showroom space at 112 Market Square with a 4,000 square foot addition. The new space will be devoted to one-of-a-kind Hand-Knotted rugs in wool and wool/silk qualities. A wide variety of current colors and oversizes are offered at deep discount prices. CAPEL ENTERS THE BATH RUG MARKET: Capel, manufacturer and importer of fine area rugs since 1917, has made a logical jump into the bath market with four new collections of premium bath rugs. Capel will unveil collections Posh, Allure, Encore, and Silkie during the High Point International Home Furnishings Market in October. These spa-quality rugs blend fashionable colors with patent-pending durable, easy-care polyolefin® fibers. (depending upon size and quality, MSRP $15 - $48.) PERFECTLY PREPPY SHAG: Four charming new colors have been added to the company's stylish collection of modern shag rugs, Shaggy Shag. New colors shown at Market will include prep standards Hot Pink and Mint Green, as well as Bright Yellow and Orange hues. Shaggy Shag has become an established best-seller thanks to its ultra-deep shag and super soft nylon with special soft-backing. With this season's additions, the collection is now available in fourteen colorways.(5' x 7' MSRP: $279.) COLONIAL WILLIAMSBURG® OUTDOOR STYLE: Finesse, a high-endurance line of indoor/outdoor machine woven rugs, includes a new design addition for Market from licensee Colonial Williamsburg®. Stencil Square has a classic arts and crafts feel and will be offered in traditional color hues. Woven on a sisal-look loom, Stencil Square is created with unique body and outstanding durability. All Finesse indoor/outdoor rugs are made to withstand weather and are easily cleaned with a garden hose. (5'3" x 7'6" MSRP: $119.) ORIGINAL CAPEL BRAIDS: Capel embellishes its North Carolina crafted collection of original Braided Rugs this season with new introductions from two of the industry's top licensees. Basketweave from Colonial Williamsburg® is a rectangular shaped braid woven to mimic the look of an intricate basketweave pattern and offered in lush Fall colors. Saskatchewan and Chenango are casual braided looks from outdoor enthusiast Dick Idol®. Saskatchewan is a rugged wool/cotton blend inspired by wild, rustic hues. FASHIONABLE FLATWEAVES: Continuing the evolution of the company's flatweave collection, new designs in this category for Market are distinctive in their quality and coloring. Elk Lodge is hand loomed in India from rich, textured New Zealand wool. A simple design with a western feel, Elk Lodge revives a room with dazzling colors like yellowstone, slate, and chili.
