Ashley Furniture HomeStore Opens in Thunder Bay, Ontario

The new Ashley HomeStore will offer a display of living room, dining room, and bedroom furniture, all professionally displayed including lamps, rugs, and accessories.

Ashley HomeStore recently announced the opening of their new 24,000 square-foot store located at 640 Balmoral Street in Thunder Bay. The site was the past location of the Reid’s Liquidation Centre. A large addition was added to the building, and a major renovation of the interior and exterior of the building, was completed.

The new Ashley HomeStore will offer a display of living room, dining room, and bedroom furniture, all professionally displayed including lamps, rugs, and accessories. Consumers will find a broad selection of value priced furniture and bedding, and will enjoy quick delivery from the company’s three million square-foot Distribution Center located in Arcadia, Wisconsin.

The local store will be owned and operated by Scott Reid. Reid believes that the Ashley HomeStore will be a perfect compliment to the higher end family business, Reid’s Furniture, that has, and will continue to serve Thunder Bay for almost 50 years.

The store is staffed by an experienced crew, including all of the employees from the former Reid’s Liquidation Centre, as well as four others including members from the closing Sears store in Thunder Bay. Additional warehouse, delivery, and service personnel have been added as well.
