Universal Names West Coast Vice President of Sales

The company’s sales representative for the New York/New Jersey/Connecticut area, Chris De Lisa is joining the executive team in High Point.
The company’s sales representative for the New York/New Jersey/Connecticut area, Chris De Lisa is joining the executive team in High Point.

Universal Furniture recently announced their new vice president of sales for the West Coast region; the company’s sales representative for the New York/New Jersey/Connecticut area, Chris De Lisa. He’s stepping out of his territory to join Universal’s executive team in High Point effective December 1, 2017.

“I am excited about moving into this new role with Universal,” said De Lisa. “Our product assortment, service and marketing support continue to add value for our customers. And I look forward to bringing my experience in the field to support the business of our partners and sales representatives.”

De Lisa has extensive experience in the home furnishings industry which he joined in 1992, including positions in retail, sales and logistics. In 2011, he joined Universal to take on New York area sales. During his time with Universal, he’s lead a team that achieved Sales Person of the Year back-to-back years in 2014 and 2015.  

In his new role, De Lisa will report to Senior Vice President of Sales Sean O’Connor. He is responsible for growing sales in the western U.S.

“Chris’ passion for his work really affects others around him,” said O’Connor. “His enthusiasm creates strong and successful teams.”

De Lisa is relocating to High Point with his wife of 18 years, Fiorella, and their children
Mateo, Christina and Malena.

Mark Cowan will remain in his role as vice president of sales for the eastern region also reporting to O’Connor.
