Eclipse International Expands ‘Van Vorst Mattress’ Brand Into Southeast Asia with Partner Luxury Sleep

Eclipse International recently announced that the Van Vorst Mattress luxury brand, relaunched this spring, is now being introduced in Southeast Asia through a new licensing agreement with Luxury Sleep, a well-established, Malaysian-based sleep products manufacturer. Under the agreement, Luxury Sleep will add the Van Vorst Mattress Co. of America since 1888 line of mattresses to its portfolio and will manufacture and distribute the brand in Southeast Asia.
“We have a well-established relationship with Luxury Sleep with its brand portfolio including Eclipse International and the Ernest Hemingway line,” said Stuart Carlitz, CEO of Eclipse International. “This expansion to include the Van Vorst line strengthens our partnership, and puts the brand on solid footing to grow internationally. The Van Vorst line will be manufactured in Luxury Sleep’s 300,000-square-foot factory near Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, that focuses on luxury mattresses and sleep products.
Designed with advanced foam technology and proprietary innersprings, the high-end, luxury Van Vorst line is priced to retail from $999 to $5,000 in queen in the U.S. Bedding Industries of America and Blue Ocean Sleep are committed to limiting distribution of the line to allow for exclusivity and strong margins.
“High-end U.S. luxury brands carry great appeal to Asian consumers,” Carlitz said. “The iconic Van Vorst line with its classic, luxurious design and construction will surely be successful in that market.”
Eclipse International, under its parent company Bedding Industries of America, partnered with Blue Ocean earlier this year to bring back the Van Vorst luxury line of bedding.
