Malouf Grows Sales Team with New Territory and Account Managers

Furniture World News Desk on 9/19/2017

Malouf, a Utah-based bedding accessories maker, recently announced the company has added a new territory manager and hired four new account managers to its sales team. The growth of the sales team is a response to the company’s exceptional growth over the past two years and aids Malouf in developing customized product lineups for each retail partner.

“Our growth and success really comes down to the service and hustle of our sales team,” said Mike Douglas, VP of sales for Malouf. “Our territory managers are incredible at working with regional reps, bringing in new accounts and helping existing accounts meet new sales goals. We added account managers to focus on logistics, pinpointing the right product mix, training, merchandising and shipping for each individual account.”

This dual approach adds a new dimension of personalized service to accounts, with account teams servicing six regional territories to manage some 75 regional reps and provide strategic solutions to each retail partner.

Joe Summers has been named territory manager for the Midwest North region of the U.S.

Spencer Pauni has been appointed account manager for the Northeast region, serving with Territory Manger Jason Cale.

Brian Watts has been assigned as account manager for the Southeast region, serving with Territory Manager Jesse Gibbs.

Shane Wilde has been named account manager for the Midwest South region, partnering with Territory Manager Eric Holmstead.

George Pauni has been assigned as the account manager for the Northwest and Southwest regions, working with Northwest Territory Manager Jeff Holmstead and newly-appointed Southwest Territory Manager Branson Smith.

While territory managers focus on account growth and service, account managers monitor sales reports and track shipments to enhance retailers’ orders and sales.

“As a sales team, our focus has to extend beyond growth, and we think this new approach does that,” said Douglas. “We’re now using data to enhance service and promote higher sales for our partners. You can’t always think of growth as a few steps in front of you. You have to take a 360-degree scan of the landscape to make smart decisions for long-term growth.”
