Gift and Home Sales Agencies to Implement VMi iPad Sales App

The technology allows manufacturers as well as multi-line sales agencies to use their iPad to easily create a single order across all their lines.
Brandwise reported that more than twenty sales agencies throughout the gift and home industry have signed with Brandwise to incorporate its new Visual Merchandiser for iPad (VMi) application into their showroom and road sales process. The technology is the first of its kind to not only work for suppliers, but also allow multi-line sales agencies to use their iPad to easily create a single order across all their lines.
“Though the iPad applications that we have been using for the past several months have their own merits, VMi affords us the opportunity to use one platform to capture the entire process from order entry to your receipt of the purchase order on to order fulfillment and commission tracking,” said Doug Self, president of J.Douglas. “After much observation of all application platforms currently used by our manufacturers or offered in the market, the decision to go with Brandwise was made because they understand what it takes to deliver and maintain software applications and have the proven support infrastructure to handle capacity.”
Some of the agencies that have signed on include; Southern Accessories Today, J.Douglas, DNA, Codarus, John Grob Associates, The Portico Collection, Cliff Price & Company, Shea Associates, Group One, Taylors on Ten, Donald McEvoy Ltd., Ron Bauman & Associates, Kris and Co, Cathy & Company, Parker Hill, Style Connection, Wild Rose Marketing, DHR & Co., New Era Sales, Casa Bella and Thomas & Moore.
“This program encompasses all of the components which have arisen within the industry,” continued Self, “and brings all of us closer to the forefront with technology related tools; virtual catalogs, user-friendly iPad interface, customer and rep-friendly quotes, combined with automatic entry into SSI and a familiar commission track system.”
VMi was created as a further move by Brandwise to create an environment that is platform independent, meaning its sales technology can work on iPad, PC or laptop, both locally (off-line) or online. It’s the only iPad sales app in the industry that can accommodate both showroom and road sales for supplier-only and multi-line agency reps. Additionally, it integrates with back-end office software using the same proven technology Brandwise has provided for over 15 years.
