Ante4autism Event, Presented By Leggett & Platt Inc., Surpasses $40,000 In Sponsorships

The 9th Annual Ante4Autism poker tournament, presented by Leggett & Platt Inc., will be held at the Golden Nugget in the “Grand” event center on Sunday, January 22th at 7 PM. The 9 Final Table qualifiers will split $10,000, which is sponsored by Symbol Mattress. In addition, Ashley Furniture Industries Inc., has signed on to be a Double Diamond $10,000 sponsor again this year. The buy-in for the Texas Hold’em poker event is only $125, with $40 re-buys available! All 9 final table players will receive great merchandise prizes for being top finishers, as well as a portion of the $10,000. The winner will receive the Grand Champion winner’s plaque as well. The Hosts of the event have finalized the list of Autism organizations that will split the proceeds of this year’s event. We are very happy to announce the following 5 charities will be the beneficiaries of the proceeds:

Lettuce Work - Organization dedicated to serving young adults with Autism and training them for the future. They operate a commercial hydroponic greenhouse that provides the platform for school to work transition services, job training and employment opportunities for young adults with Autism.

Autism Speaks - Is dedicated to promoting solutions, across the spectrum and throughout the lifespan, for the needs of individuals with autism and their families through advocacy and support; increasing understanding and acceptance of autism spectrum disorder; and advancing research into causes and better interventions for autism spectrum disorder and related conditions.

Bike to the Beach – Is a community of people who combine biking, purpose, and fun to inspire individuals to overcome obstacles through personal challenge and to inspire the larger community to raise funds and awareness for Autism, the most prevalent developmental disability in the world.

National Autism Association of Southeast Ohio (NAASEO) – The mission of the National Autism Association is to educate and empower families affected by autism and other neurological disorders, while advocating on behalf of those who cannot fight for their own rights. The Southeast Ohio chapter serves the counties of Coshocton, Guernsey, Morgan, Muskingum, and Perry in southeastern Ohio.

Families for Effective Autism Treatment of Southern Nevada (FEATSONV) - Our mission is to provide information on treatment resources for families with children diagnosed with autism, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and related disorders. We provide support, encouragement, and guidance to parents and create an opportunity for them to benefit from contact with other parents with similar needs and concerns. FEATSONV provides this support in the Southern Nevada area.

Jennifer Strobel, Executive Director of FEATSONV, put it best, “We are very excited to be a part of this great event.” “We hope to create a buzz in the local Las Vegas area to come and play in the event, support our cause and raise $$ to help local families,” an excited Jennifer told the Co-Hosts.
