Furniture World News Desk on 8/26/2016

Jordan's Furniture recently announced the grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony of its sixth location at Long Wharf, New Haven. The ribbon cutting ceremony will take place on December 11th at 4:30pm immediately followed by the official grand opening at 5pm. Both the ribbon cutting ceremony and grand opening event are free and open to the public. President/CEO Eliot Tatelman will be joined by New Haven Mayor Toni Harp and other dignitaries for the ribbon cutting ceremony. Jordan's Furniture is located at 40 Sargent Drive, Long Wharf, New Haven, CT.

Situated at the junction of I-95 and I-91 in the former New Haven Register building, Jordan's Furniture Long Wharf, New Haven has a 150,000-square-foot showroom with over 125 vignettes, as well as its own Sleep Lab where sleep technicians will help select the perfect mattress for every customer. Jordan's features furniture ranging from traditional to contemporary and everything in between.

Jordan's Furniture is known for combining entertainment with retail, and its first Connecticut location is no exception. The New Haven site will feature the incredible IT Adventure Indoor Ropes Course, the world's largest indoor adventure ropes course. IT includes two (2) 60-foot-high ropes courses that incorporate four separate levels and over 100 activities like zig zag swinging beams, crisscross angle rope ladders, cargo nets, bridges, plank-walking, a cat walk and a 48-foot-high free fall jump. There will be four (4) 200-feet long zip lines that are 48 feet high…the longest SkyRails ever made! Patrons will be able to zip over the 1,000-nozzle water show with state of the art lights, 40,000 watts of sound and music, choreographed to a 45-foot-high water show. The light and sound effects are created by Clair Solutions, the company that designed Radio City Music Hall, The Grand Ole Opry and the Michael Jackson Tour.

Eliot Tatelman, President/CEO of Jordan's Furniture, is excited to open the company's one and only Connecticut store. "It will be the most unique furniture store in the world. Our team has been working so hard and they have created a destination where the shopping experience is like nothing else anywhere!" claims Tatelman. "And you'll want to experience IT, the world's largest indoor adventure ropes course. Adults, kids, families... everyone will want to see IT, climb IT, and ride IT! You won't believe IT! Just don't miss IT!" Tatelman says. "We look forward to welcoming consumers from across the state of Connecticut when we open our doors this week."

Both IT adventure seekers and watchers can enjoy customize-your-own Blaze Pizza that cooks in 180 seconds and 50 flavors of delicious Richardson Farms ice cream from Scoop It. IT Adventure Indoor Ropes Course is for all ages and all abilities.
