Orion Air Ride's GM Elected To Division Of AHFA

Orion Air Ride recently announced that General Manager Mark Fierek was elected as First Vice President of the Specialized Furniture Carriers this week by its Board Of Directors. The Specialized Furniture Carriers is a division of the American Home Furnishings Alliance since 2009 with more than 30 member companies in North America.
Fierek is an active participant of the board and attends major industry events including High Point and Las Vegas Markets. “This is a fantastic and competitive industry. The creative designs, combination of materials, and variety of unique sizes require specialized handling,” said Fierek.
“In addition you have transportation regulations, logistics technology, and driver shortages that create challenges specialized carriers must overcome,” he said. This is Fierek’s fourth year as a member of the Specialized Furniture Carriers. His term runs through 2018. Fierek has been in the transportation and logistics industry for 32 years. Orion Air Ride provides logistics support for AFA Stores, Ethan Allen, and Home Gallery among many other home furnishings brands.

Each piece is handled by hand, not with forklifts, and is inspected and deluxed, if necessary prior to final movement to the consumer.
