Wright Global Graphics Increases Production Capabilities In China
Furniture Industry News Update -
Wright Global Graphics announced that it has expanded its operations in China to accommodate production demands of their top-of-bed and woven label lines. While the company has had a presence in Asia for almost 15 years, growing customer demand for lower price points in the last year – both domestically and abroad – led Wright to open an office as well as continue to increase production in China.
For time sensitive orders, including Wright’s five day turnaround Express Program, Wright will continue to manufacture products in their domestic facilities. The complete design process will be done in the U.S. as well.
“Expanding our Wright Global Graphics facility in China was a strategic decision that allows us to offer customers more competitive pricing, without compromising the award-winning design process for which we are known. With the expansion, customers will also have the option of having small orders filled locally and the balance of their order can be produced in China at a lower cost,” said Wright President and CEO Greg Wright. “Strategically, establishing a permanent presence overseas allows us to continue to grow our international business.”
Wright’s Chinese office is located centrally located in the Shunde district, the largest furniture wholesale market and distribution center in China. Ron Wright, senior vice president of strategic planning at the company, is overseeing the Chinese operations.
Bill and Tom Wright founded Wright of Thomasville in 1961 on the idea that printing was a creative medium and the belief that “a promise made is a promise kept.” The Wright brothers focused their attention on providing exceptional printing for the home furnishing, carpet and rug industries. The Wright family continues that tradition today to include solutions for the Action Sports and Beverage Industry by providing one-stop, turnkey, creative solutions for their clients’ graphic needs. Today, the company is run by Bill’s sons Greg, Don and Ron. With 153 employees and manufacturing partners in the United States and Brazil, as well as a Wright Global Graphics facility in China, the company delivers on its promise of exceptional value, and accurate delivery, regardless of the product’s final destination.
