Hanne named Operations Manager of Six Regional La –Z-Boy Stores

La-Z-Boy reported that Mark Hanne was promoted to the position of Operations Manager for six La-Z-Boy Furniture Gallery stores and the regional distribution warehouse located in Tualatin, Oregon.

In the newly created position, Hanne will supervise all product flow from the manufacture to the warehouse and retail locations from Portland to Eugene, servicing thousands of customers annually. He will also be responsible managing all company facilities.

The La Z Boy Furniture Gallery distribution center is located off Tualatin Sherwood Highway inTualatin and services Portland store locations in Delta Park, Clackamas, Tualatin and Tanasboure, as well as Salem and Eugene.

The announcement was made August 1, by Brad Parker, company president and co-owner. Oregon-native Parker is a third generation furniture retailer.

“Mark is a tremendous asset to our organization and we are confident that with his experience and insights, he will continue to strengthen and streamline our company’s standard procedures, “said Parker. “His production knowledge and attention to detail are invaluable.”

Hanne most recently served as the Upholstery Buyer for the company. He originally joined the local La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries in 2006, starting as the assistant manager of the Tualatin store before being named store manager, then moving to store manager of the Clackamas location.

He has over fifteen years in furniture retailing including positions with Pottery Barn, Z Galleries, Bassett Furniture and Bombay Company.

Prior working in retail, Hanne worked as an epidemiological specialist in Maui County, Hawaii.
