Baker Promoted to Merchandise Manager For Six Regional La -Z-Boy Stores.

La-Z-Boy reported that Ronda Baker was promoted to the position of Merchandise Manager for six La-Z-Boy Furniture Gallery stores located between Portland and Eugene.

In the position, Baker will be responsible for selecting and staging the extensive selection of home furnishings available at each La-Z-Boy Furniture Gallery location.

Baker joined the company in 1998, starting as an administrative assistant, and eventually moving into the role of inventory manager and later, assistant buyer, responsible for all case good, accessories and rugs. In her new position, she will also be responsible for merchandising all upholstered and leather furniture as well.

“Ronda contributes in every position, taking on and succeeding at every new challenge,” said Brad Parker, company president. “She has a tremendous vision for our products and stores, with a keen eye for what our customers like. “

Oregon-native Parker is a third generation furniture retailer. His company, Parker Enterprises, owns and operates six La- Z -Boy Furniture Gallery stores , with locations in Delta Park, Clackamas, Tualatin and Tanasboure, as well as stores in Salem and Eugene. The main distribution warehouse is located on the Tualatin-Sherwood Highway, at 20752 SW 120th Ave, in Tualatin.

Before joining La-Z-Boy, she worked as a customer service agent for Horizon Airlines. She grew up in Clackamas, graduated from Vernonia High School.
