Cory Home Delivery Board of Directors Elects Chairperson

CEO Patrick Cory announced the appointment of a new board member and the election of a chairperson of its Board of Directors.

At the June 15, 2015 Cory Board of Directors meeting the first order of business was to fulfill the vacant seat and elect a chairperson after the recent passing of its leader Joe Cory, Sr.

Rejoining the board is Kevin Cory, grandson of its founder Joseph Cory and son of the late James Cory, who served as Cory’s president for over 50 years. Kevin served as a managing partner of Cory from 2003 to 2010 when he decided to return to the financial industry, where he started his career.

Nominated to Chair the BOD and unanimously voted in is Jennifer Cory. Jennifer Cory is the granddaughter of the founder of Cory, Joseph Cory, niece of former President, James Cory, and the daughter of the company’s former Chairman & CEO, Joe Sr., who recently passed away. At the boards’ request, Jennifer joined the Board of Directors of Cory, in 2013. She is a graduate from Monmouth University, magna cum laude, and holds two master’s degrees, one in advanced clinical social work from Columbia University, and a second in applied positive psychology from the University of Pennsylvania.

Jennifer resides in South Jersey where she has a private practice in clinical psychotherapy, specializing, in part, in cultivating thriving relationships. Additionally, Jennifer is trained in collaborative law and mediation, bringing together the creativity, compassion and skills necessary for successful conflict resolution. Jennifer’s professional experience includes developing resilience and flourishing in individuals, systems, and organizations. She is passionate about the vision on which her grandfather founded the business, and her uncle and father fervently advanced, “take care of the people, who will take care of the client.” She is honored to serve the company in the capacity of Chair of the Board of Directors, and welcomes the opportunity to contribute to the advancement of her grandfather’s legacy through her role on the board.
