The Board of Directors of the American Home Furnishings Hall of Fame Foundation Inc. reported that it has elected new officers and board member.

Michael Amini, AICO/Amini Innovation Corp. has been elected Board president; Roger D. Friesen, Casana Furniture Company, Ltd., first vice president; Robert Maricich, International Market Centers., second vice president; and Kevin Castellani, Furniture Today, Progressive Business Media, secretary-treasurer. William D. Kimbrell, Star Furniture, will continue to serve on the executive committee as Board chairman.

“The last six months have been a period of great transformation for the Hall because our Board is comprised of the industry’s leaders who are willing to give their time and energy to accomplish great things for our industry,” says Michael Amini, new Board president. “We are moving forward with great energy as the only organization that embraces all segments of our industry around the world. We have much work ahead of us to create a banquet that is exciting and the premier celebration for the whole industry as we move forward aggressively with preserving our history and our story. This is our mission and we are the organization to do it.”

Re-elected members serving an additional three-year term are Aminy I. Audi, L. & J.G. Stickley, Inc.; George Cartledge III, Grand Home Furnishings; Randy Ford, Leggett & Platt, Inc.; Jack L. Hawn, Jr., Zenith Global Logistics; and Dennis Novosel, Stoney Creek Furniture.

The American Home Furnishings Hall of Fame Foundation is open to all home furnishings industry companies, organizations and individuals that do business in the United States. Membership includes eligibility to nominate candidates for consideration by the Selection Committee, and the opportunity to help preserve the history and heritage of the industry.
