Lectra to Highlight Advanced Furniture Solutions at High Point Market

Furniture World News Desk on 4/15/2015

Lectra, a world leader in integrated technology solutions dedicated to industries using soft materials—fabrics, leather, technical textiles and composite materials—reported that it will showcase advanced technology solutions for upholstered furniture manufacturers at the upcoming Spring High Point Market on April 18-23, 2015.

Lectra’s booth (IHFC: M330, Main, Floor 3) will feature information on its end-to-end offer, including technology for design, industrialization and production, at the largest furniture industry trade show in the world. The High Point Market attracts more than 75,000 attendees and 2,000 exhibitors across 11.5 million square feet of show space during this biannual event. Lectra consultants will be on hand to demonstrate the impact of DesignConcept, Lectra’s completely integrated, 3D/2D CAD solution for 3D virtual prototyping, costing and developing upholstered furniture products, from virtual prototype to pre-production.

“The furniture industry is changing as consumers’ needs evolve, creating new and increased demands for upholstered furniture manufacturers. We are pleased to be at High Point Market to discuss our ability to help companies achieve operational excellence through a combination of expertise and technology, while also helping them meet speed, profitability, efficiency, social responsibility, and customization objectives,” comments Renato Mariani, Vice President of Marketing, Lectra North America.

“In response to rising demand for customization, we were seeking the best single ply cutter available on the market,” explains John Palmer, President of King Hickory Furniture. “We have been a Lectra customer since the 1990s and the longevity of Lectra’s cutters has exceeded our expectations, so we sought an additional solution from them to address our current needs. Our company chose to invest in Lectra’s automated cutting solutions to enhance the performance of our cutting room.”
