Art Van Furniture Breaks Ground On 10,000 Square Foot Design Center

Art Van Furniture executives gathered for a ceremonial ground breaking of the furniture store's design center, Scott Shuptrine Interiors. The expansion of the Royal Oak store will transform a large portion of the parking structure into a magnificent Scott Shuptrine Interiors showplace. It will feature a grand staircase, sculptural ceiling and dozens of elegant, over-the-top amenities to assure a pleasurable, first-class shopping experience.
"This is going to be a breathtaking, state-of-the-art store with only the finest products and services available," says Art Van Furniture founder and chairman, Art Van Elslander. "We will provide our guests with the easiest and most enjoyable shopping experience imaginable – all done in an exquisite setting."
In addition to the new Woodward store, Scott Shuptrine Interiors is also located inside 3 other Art Van stores including Warren, Grand Rapids and Petoskey. The Scott Shuptrine showrooms feature a retail floor, an interior design studio and a custom design shop. The stores offer upscale products and services to fit practically every design taste.

Scott Shuptrine Interiors is owned by Art Van Furniture. The new store, located at 32301 N. Woodward, is scheduled to open in October, 2012.
