La-Z-Boy Casegoods Group Hires Drew L. Sweeney as Vice President to Lead Sales and Marketing

La-Z-Boy Incorporated’s Casegoods Group reported that it has hired furniture industry veteran Drew L. Sweeney as vice president to lead the company’s sales and marketing initiatives for American Drew, Hammary and Kincaid Furniture.

Sweeney served as vice president of sales and marketing for Hickory Chair Manufacturing Company, supervising all sales and territory managers, marketing efforts and merchandising. Additionally, he was responsible for managing multiple channels of distribution for upholstery and casegoods products. Sweeney began his career with Hickory Springs Manufacturing Company, a leading supplier of foam and metal to the furniture industry. During his 13-year tenure, he held numerous roles ranging from product manager to national director of sales and new business development. Throughout his successful career, Sweeney has earned the respect of furniture retailers nationwide.

Sweeney earned a bachelor of arts from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He and his wife and daughters reside in Hickory, North Carolina.

He succeeds longtime employee Jack Richardson, a valuable member of the La-Z-Boy Casegoods management and leadership team for 16 years.
