Show has distinction of permitting only products made in the USA.
The All American Furniture Expo reported that only American made solid wood and upholstered furniture will be featured at the 2nd annual All American Furniture Expo on September 6 -7, 2012 in Lancaster, PA. This trade show, solely for wholesale buyers, is held at the Lancaster County Convention Center, 25 S. Queen Street, in the vibrant downtown of this historic city. Hours are 9-5 on the 6th and 9-3 on the 7th.
All American Furniture Expo coordinator Wanda Esh Gregg explains, “Our purpose has always been to help our neighbors in the plain community sell their American made items to wholesale buyers. Our show will feature many Amish and Mennonite manufacturers from Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Indiana. Over the years, as our shows continue to grow, we have included more craftsmen from all across the country. This year we anticipate having over a hundred different USA companies present. To my knowledge, our furniture show is the first in the northeast to exclusively exhibit furniture that is handcrafted in America. We boldly make this claim: only domestic products permitted, no imports allowed.”
Just as shoppers today want to know who is raising their food, they also delight in knowing who has put heart and soul into crafting furniture for their homes. When a piece has been manufactured by an American craftsman, shoppers recognize it as heirloom quality, something to pass on from generation to generation. For them a part of America and its folk craft heritage lives on in the furniture pieces that grace their homes.
More than 46,000 square feet of trade show floor are full of the finest furniture made in this country. Manufacturers speak directly with wholesale buyers and offer options for customizing. A variety of different hardwoods are featured along with a wide selection of stains and finishes. Styles range from primitive to transitional, mission to modern, as well as contemporary and urban. At the end of the day buyers will know that they have previewed the best products in the handcrafted furniture industry.
The All American Furniture Expo debuted as a separate trade show in 2011. Since 2002 it had been a part of the spring Keystone Wholesale Show at the York PA Expo Center, which features American home décor and crafts, lawn and garden items, and outdoor structures. Both shows are presented by Keystone Wholesale Markets whose team consists of Wanda Esh Gregg, Joyce Reed, Holly Keenen and Ivan Yost.
