AmericasMart announced that the Atlanta International Gift and Home Furnishings Market® in 2015 Market will be the 57th consecutive January show staged in Atlanta under the Portman Family of Companies’ continuous ownership and management and the 54th consecutive market staged in the AmericasMart venue. The market will jumpstart the global retail year with a merchandise line-up featuring thousands of lines and countless introductions, many in exclusive U.S. debut.

The gift and home furnishings market—running Tuesday, January 6 through Tuesday, January 13 (Temporaries: Thursday, January 8 - Monday, January 12)—in tandem with The Atlanta International Area Rug Market® featuring the National Oriental Rug Show sponsored by The Oriental Rug Importers Association (ORIA) (Showrooms: Wednesday, January 7 - Saturday, January 10; Temporaries: Thursday, January 8 - Saturday, January 10) will give buyers a long litany of firsts, topped by:

  • The opening of the Floor 15 Home & Design collection. The Market’s comprehensive home furnishings product mix expands through the addition of more than 100,000 square feet of space created expressly for design-led furniture, lighting and home accents. The inaugural showrooms of the Floor 15 collection include existing exhibitors in larger spaces and new lines tapping AmericasMart’s global buying power. The Floor 15 collection aligns with AmericasMart’s utmost dedication to an intuitive buying experience as it connects the integrated home and rug collections with the industry-leading Holiday & Floral/ Home Décor collection, brimming with new editions for its most significant Market of the year.


  • The new Floor 6 bridge between the Home & Rug collection in Building 1 and the Gift collection in Building 2. This vital link completes yet another path through all three AmericasMart buildings – ultimately ending in the permanent Immediate Resources collection on Floor 7 in Building 3 – accelerating the growth of the home and rug category.


  • The amplified dedication to the design community supported by a new Designer Workroom in Building 1 and expanded at-Market programming through a partnership with the celebrated Interior Design Camp educational summit.

The world’s top rug event – The Atlanta International Area Rug Market featuring the National Oriental Rug Show – has a renewed energy brought on by showroom growth and increased connectivity to the rest of the Marketplace provided by the new Floor 6 bridge.
