Blu Sleep Products Introduces Four-Bed Island Dreams Latex Bed Collection At Las Vegas

Canada-based Blu Sleep Products will introduce the Island Dreams™ Latex Bed Collection, the newest models in the Somni International Sleep mattress line at their Showroom B-960, World Market Center at the summer Las Vegas market. The European-design inspired North American specialty sleep company offers their four bed latex line which ranges from low to high profile and offers soft, plush to firmer feels with a variety of support options. The beds are the 9-inch Aruba, the 10-inch Bali, The 11-inch Fiji and the 12-inch Tahiti. “Our goal is to offer a line of latex beds that is an escape to exotic comfort, joy, rest, and relaxation,” say Alex Ciccolella, owner of Blu Sleep. “We use the finest Dunlop process latex foam to create a full range of mattresses from super soft to medium and firm toppers and cores.”

“Remaining consistent with our ‘adaptive foam’ story, our beds are designed to adapt to the body not the body to the bed, “Ciccolella explains. “A big problem that consumers face in choosing a bed is that most beds don’t work for both partners. Often one person does not find the bed he or she likes. One person has to settle, to really not get the right bed. It is often a compromise. All of our foam mattresses whether latex foam, memory foam, or high-engineered polyurethane foams are designed to have an increased range of adaptability to fit both sleepers. We design all of our beds with the adaptive foam concept in mind. Working together the different engineered foam designs increase the range of body types that work with one bed.”

The latex beds will have a contemporary, bright fashion design presence with the top-of-the-line 12-inch Tahiti featuring a three-in-one pattern. Depending upon how you look at the bed, you can see at least three transitioning bold modern patterns from leafy flowers, to curved rectangles, to four-pointed stars. ( See picture)

Each mattress features a removable, washable zippered cover. These covers are made with breathable stretch fabrics that are designed to work with, and enhance the latex foam comfort layers. The covers also have Adaptive temperature detection, cooling and drying capability and Purotex® active probiotics to reduce dust mite allergens that trigger allergic reactions. These mattresses have a unique, integrated cover and stretch FR-sock assuring a fully breathable and luxurious feel. They have matching or contrasting colored zippers and breathable, flexible design borders.

While the basic latex line is made up of the four Island Dreams beds, Ciccolella says that Blu Sleep would custom design and create specific models for higher volume, committed
retailers who want to offer a different latex mattress program.

Earlier this year, Blu Sleep opened the company’s new South Florida based distribution center, warehouse and showroom to better serve the US market. They also opened their own Las Vegas showroom in B-960 in Building “B” at The World Market Center during the winter market. The company also expanded their pillow line with four new wool-based pillows and four new fiber-based pillows at the January market along with the grand introduction of the company’s then, six bed Somni Specialty Sleep Mattress Foam Collection. Models within that six-bed introduction included variations of breathable, open-cell foams, memory foams, foamed gels, latex, bio-based and polyurethane foams.
