Local Non Profits Win $5,000 in Furnishings From Kane's Furniture

Kanes Furniture reported that the  Royal Palm Academy and The Shelter for Abused Women & Children were the recipients of two Kane’s Furniture gift cards. As part of the Kane’s Cares program, Collier County residents voted on the Kane’s Furniture Facebook page from March 3 through March 21 to help furnish local non-profit organizations, private schools and charter schools. Royal Palm Academy, first place winner and recipient of a $2,500 Kane’s Furniture gift card, received 180 votes and The Shelter for Abused Women & Children, second place winner and recipient of a $1,500 Kane’s Furniture gift card, received 120 votes.

Collier County residents nominated 20 nonprofits and schools for the Kane’s Cares program, and the winning organizations have the opportunity to explore the Kane’s Furniture showroom in Naples and select office furnishings.

“This Kane’s Cares initiative allows us to give back to the local community while alleviating financial pressures surrounding the need for quality office furniture,” says Daniel Klein, executive vice president of Kane’s Furniture.

“This generous donation from Kane’s Furniture will help provide an even more welcoming and healing environment for the individuals who receive life-transforming services here at The Shelter for Abused Women & Children. We are very grateful for the support we receive from our local community and businesses such as Kane’s,” says Rebecca Thompson, development and volunteer officer with The Shelter for Abused Women & Children.
