The Canadian-based specialty mattress producer Zedbed announced the launch of its “G+ sleep solution” at the Las Vegas Market. The new G+ system comes with customizable comfort cooling zones that correspond to the places where the body needs more warmth or more coolness. Sleepers control their sleep environment using gel pads that are easily inserted or removed from the mattress surface. Sleepers can reduce or increase the number of G+ pads used on their mattress.
David Gelinas, Zedbed’s marketing VP said "Today, there are various technologies designed to regulate body temperature and prevent the discomfort of overheating that is sometimes associated with sleeping on memory foam. However, these technologies don’t give users ultimate control over sleeping conditions. They don’t offer any way to accommodate partners who might prefer different sleep environments. But now, with G+, users can increase or decrease the coolness of their mattress” Zedbed designed the gel pads to fit in special pockets on the mattress. They’re perfectly sized to the pockets and leave no gaps, so they stay put, yet they’re also easy to remove. The pocket design ensures that air circulates whether or not sleeper has gel pads installed. With the Gel+ pads, you can enjoy the fresh, cool feeling that encourages slumber. The Gel+ system is perfectly compatible with memory foam infused with gel.
