Center will allow for smooth storage and shipping of furniture products to US retailers.
South Shore Furniture reported that it recently launched operations at a new El Paso, TX distribution center where products manufactured in Mexico will be stored to ensure timely distribution in United States.
The new 51,000 sq. ft. warehouse is located in the industrial park nearby the international airport and is an important complement for the South Shoure plant in Juarez, used to store products for distribution in the US.
"This addition gives us free space at the plant to increase the efficiency and production capacity. From a logistics standpoint, it is a major asset that helps keeping the products in inventory in USA in order to reduce customs processing time, and increase speed of delivery to the end user. It is a win-win situation which supports our growth strategy," says Jean Fortin, Supply Chain Vice-President.
