Johnnie Smith Joins Ital Art Design

Ital Art Design, manufacturer and importer of traditional dining room, occasional and upholstered furniture, announced that Johnnie T. Smith has joined the organization as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Mike Bakian, President of Ital Art, stated “Johnnie Smith brings over 20 years experience as a home furnishings executive to our growing company. Her broad contacts with retail buyers nationally, her inherent great taste in quality furnishings, and her competitive drive will enable us to launch multiple new collections and marketing initiatives as never before.” Ms. Smith began her home furnishings career with Kessler Industries in El Paso in 1985, rising to VP of Sales and Marketing there. During her tenure at Kessler, Smith cultivated close relationships with furniture and department stores that featured traditional and transitional styles. Her expertise extends to merchandising products, marketing, advertising, sales management and key account management. Johnnie Smith will continue to be based in El Paso, TX, providing her with a central location to manage the Ital Art Design sales force, as well as easily accessing retailers throughout the country. She will be greeting customers and her many industry friends at Fall Market at the Ital Art Design showroom, 115 S. Hamilton St. Ital Art Design, based in Rancho Dominguez, CA will be introducing numerous fresh products in their 28,000 ft. showroom located in their own facility across from Showplace.
