Bernie and Phyllis Rubin, co-founders of Bernie & Phyl’s Furniture, recently served with former Boston Red Sox player Mo Vaughn, center, as grand marshals for the 15th annual Hot Dog Safari. The event is a fundraiser for the Joey Fund, which supports research and assistance for people with cystic fibrosis. This year, over 50,000 people attended the family oriented activities. After leading the parade, the Rubins judged the hot dog eating contest and chatted with members of the crowd to support the charity and enjoy the day.
