Colonial Mills Announces New VP Of Operations

Rocco F. Davanzo has joined Colonial Mills Inc. as V.P. of Operations to assume responsibility for all manufacturing and. distribution for the Pawtucket, RI-based manufacturer of braided rugs and accessories. Reporting directly to Don Scarlata, President & CEO, Mr. Davanzo will implement operational strategies to increase efficiencies during the next phase of growth for the company. Mr. Davanzo is the third key executive to join Colonial Mills in the last 12 months, a hiring strategy that Scarlata notes is part of restructuring the company for growth as the company heads into its 21st year as a leading braided rug manufacturer.
Mr. Davanzo's new role will be instrumental in the company's plans for the future. He brings over 25 years of extensive experience in management, manufacturing, production, inventory, and distribution gained in his previous positions at the Holson Burnes Group, a leading picture frame and photo album manufacturer serving department, specialty, and mass merchant retailers such as May Co., Federated, JC Penney, WalMart, KMart, Target, and Bed, Bath and Beyond. Prior to joining Holson Burnes, Davanzo was with Stanley Works in New Britain, CT.
